QA/QC Technician – Polymer Testing Lab

Position Summary

The QA/QC Technician will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing of raw materials and finished polymer products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical and mechanical testing of polymer materials.
• Conduct tests such as:
  • Melt Flow Index (MFI)
  • Tensile Strength Testing
  • Impact Testing
  • HDT/VST Testing
• Inspect incoming raw materials and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including:
  • MFI Tester
  • Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
  • Izod Impact Tester
  • HDT/VST Apparatus
  • Spectrophotometer
• Record and maintain test reports and quality documentation.
• Support quality audits and compliance activities.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, calibration, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or CIPET.
• 1–3 years of experience in polymer compounding or plastics manufacturing.
• Experience in QA/QC testing for masterbatch or engineering plastics preferred.
• Basic understanding of polymer testing standards and laboratory procedures.
